Job overview

An exciting opportunity to lead innovative learning and teaching in our school community

This is an ideal opportunity to come and join the teaching staff at Annecy at an exciting time in the progress and development of the school. We have been working in formal partnership with St Paul's Catholic College and this has provided unique opportunities to develop learning, teaching and leadership. This includes leading Inspire Teaching School Alliance and the Sussex Maths Hub.

Annecy is a small, welcoming and positive school with delightful children and dedicated staff. It is a great environment to teach in and will provide opportunities to grow and develop as a teacher and a leader. We believe it is important to work hard to develop the current standards as well as looking to move forward and continue to improve in every way as well as building on what is best at the school. We welcome candidates to visit the school at any point to get a taste of life at Annecy.

We are looking for a Head of KS2 to come and join our leadership team in the school.  This is an ideal opportunity to develop in an engaging environment that will help you develop as a teacher and leader. As a member of the leadership team you will also take responsibility for a key stage and appropriate curriculum areas. The TLR 2 will be decided dependent on the skills and experience of each candidate.

This is an ideal responsibility for someone with a passion for learning and teaching who wants to support others to improve and develop in the classroom, it is also ideal for those looking towards senior leadership in the future.

About Annecy Catholic Primary School

Annecy Catholic Primary School is a happy and vibrant school. It is situated in Seaford at the foot of the South Downs National Park and with a beautiful beach. This definitely can lead to an active life and is an ideal location for families.

At the school we are highly committed to supporting and developing staff at every stage of their career. This ranges from taking on your first job as an NQT to supporting those looking towards taking on leadership roles including senior leadership and Headship.

In the recent Ofsted inspection it was recognised that there are many strengths in the school including a strong early years provision and very positive behaviour. This underpins our sense of community and also provides an environment to teach engaging lessons and inspire learning.

We work in formal partnership with St Paul's Catholic College, an outstanding secondary school. This has brought a wide range of opportunities to be actively involved and benefit from Inspire Teaching School Alliance and the Sussex Maths Hub which they lead.
