We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Head of Learning - Languages to join Penola Catholic College and teach and lead the Languages department in an innovative and contemporary environment for 2022-2024.

As the Head of Learning – Languages you will have an important role in assisting a number of classroom / subject teachers to further develop and enhance the quality of teaching and learning in their classrooms.  You will have a facilitating role in fostering a high standard of reporting in both formal and informal ways.

We currently offer Italian, French and Japanese.

Please note an ongoing teaching appointment is attached to the position.

As an innovative Head of Learning - Languages you will strive to create a learning environment that enables all students to flourish. You will also deliver a collaborative and consistent approach to supporting the diverse needs of our students

About You

To be successful you will be an innovative and engaging Teacher, with a passion for Languages, have a demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks and have a demonstrated capacity to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking and innovation, holding team members to account where necessary. You will also be registered with VIT.

You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

College campuses are situated in Glenroy, which caters for years 7 and 8, and the senior campus in Broadmeadows that features years 9 to 12 and a total college enrolment of approximately 1,500 students.
