Job overview

A hardworking, enthusiastic, and organised teacher is required to lead our Learning Support Department following the retirement of our current postholder. It is essential that you are a qualified teacher with excellent awareness of SEND expectations. We will support you in completing the National Award for SEN qualifications, if required.

 

We have high expectations of our pupils and well qualified staff. Through excellent teaching and learning, pupils make very good progress here. We are very proud of our broad and balanced curriculum. Pupils can genuinely discover and excel in their talents! Pupils progress to a range of destinations from university (including over 10 students to Oxbridge over the past six years), college, training or employment.

Thomas Mills High School is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational, secondary academy for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Framlingham in Suffolk and there are 1,140 pupils on its roll.

Thomas Mills High School is one of the country’s highest performing schools with a reputation for excellence.

The original school was founded in 1751 and has been known by a few different names since. Thomas Mills High School was established in its current form in 1979. It is named after a local wealthy businessman, who was the benefactor of the original school back in the 1700s and was a respected member of the Baptist community in Framlingham.
