Head of Learning Support required for a friendly and supportive Prep School based in Kensington

Tes is currently seeking an ambitious or aspiring Head of Learning Support for a well-renowned and highly successful school based in Kensington.

The role will include coordinating. managing and supporting the delivery of Learning Support across the school. The role will work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting the SLT and Assitant Principal with improving provision and curriculum to engage learners in further study. 

The school are revising provision and schemes of work and are interested in hearing from teachers with new ideas. The role would be perfect for a teacher looking for a step up into Middle Leadership!

To promote quality first teaching and the best academic and pastoral development for each child within a safe and stimulating learning environment.  To represent and promote the best interests of all pupils, particularly those with additional needs academically and pastorally.

The Head of Learning Support will contribute to the development of strategies, policies and practices aimed at raising standards of attainment and achievement throughout the school. This includes taking a clear strategic lead on ensuring standards in the school are raised and narrows the gap for vulnerable groups.

The school expects:

  • a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • a relevant BA/MA degree
  • previous experience of supporting SEN / SEND learners
  • experience of developing provision and enhancing curriculum to support increased pupil outcomes.
