Head of Lower School (Pastoral)

We are seeking a new Head of Lower School (Pastoral) with the ability to innovate and to inspire both pupils and colleagues. This is a Leadership Team role and our new Head of Lower School (Pastoral) will be ready to join our outstanding teaching staff at the start of the Michaelmas Term 2021.

You will have two primary roles

1.  As one of a trio led by the Deputy Head (Pastoral) with the support of the Head of Upper School (Pastoral) you will take a leading role in the delivery and development of all pastoral aspects of school life

2. In conjunction with the Director of Learning (Lower School) you will  be responsible for the day-to-day management of approximately 30 teachers and support staff and will have responsibility, for 200+ pupils from Nursery (Age 3) to Year 4.

You must be an experienced teacher in KS1/2 with an excellent and detailed understanding of the statutory legislation concerning Safeguarding, Child Protection, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and SEN. Ideally you will have some knowledge of the Pre Senior Baccalaureate (PSB) ethos and framework. You must be passionate about creating an environment conducive to learning without limits so that our pupils can grow academically, socially and emotionally. You will have experience of leading and working with a team.
