SENIOR SCHOOL (Years 7 – 12)

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals for this full-time middle management position. 

This will be a four-year contract position with the possibility of an extension. The role is to commence on Monday 23 July 2018. 

The Role

The Head of Mathematics is responsible for the quality of teaching and learning in the Faculty. At CGGS we expect teaching to be challenging, enriching and supportive. 

The Head of Faculty is expected to be proactive and innovative about curriculum development and have the ability to manage a professional team.

The successful applicant will be an outstanding and experienced teacher with appropriate academic qualifications, teacher training and leadership skills. A sound understanding and knowledge of different teaching and learning styles are essential.

All teaching staff members are expected to take part in the whole life of the School including participation in pastoral care and involvement in co-curricular School activities. For employment at CGGS, a commitment to the ethos of an independent Anglican school is essential.

Eligibility for registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute which includes a Working with Vulnerable People check is a condition of employment. A current first aid certificate is desirable.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate they have permission to work in Australia.
