We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and well-qualified graduate to the post of Head of Mathematics at the College.
You will lead this successful department of 14 teachers, the largest in the College, which currently offers Edexcel’s IGCSE and A Level in mathematics (and which is considering adding Edexcel’s Mathematics in Context to its offering). Your academic credentials will be strong, and you will be capable of teaching mathematics at all levels, through to preparation for elite universities. An outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire pupils and staff, you will be driven to ensure that the quality of teaching and learning in the Department is of the highest calibre, and you will, in collaboration with the Department, create and implement effective strategies to achieve your ambitious aims. A strong leader and a visible presence, you will also be fully conversant with the effective use of ICT to improve learning, planning and administration.
