SENIOR LEADER/HEAD OF MATHS
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Academy, where putting students first is a fundamental part of our culture. We strongly believe that positive outcomes for our students come from the professionalism, commitment and passion for excellence displayed by our staff.
We are seeking an accomplished and motivated teacher to lead a well-established and already successful department and to teach Mathematics across key stage 3 and 4. You will need to be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a good track record of positive outcomes at GCSE, but be looking for a new challenge. You might already have some experience of middle leadership or mentoring/coaching colleagues and be ready to lead your own department in a school that works in partnership with Teach First and Bath Spa University and is always in the pursuit of excellence.
Our Mathematics Department is forward thinking and is performing in the top 10% in England for progress. We are looking for someone who can both lead on the new curriculum and also make a significant contribution to the teaching in this strong and successful department.

Bridgwater College Academy is the only all-through mainstream Academy in Somerset and opened in 2012. Student numbers are divided equally between Primary and Secondary phases; we also have a nursery provision too. The Academy was the first sponsored Academy within the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust, which now hosts seven Academies and is itself set to continue to expand in the future.
