Caldicott is a thriving day and boarding country prep school for boys aged 7 – 13 in South Buckinghamshire. Situated in 40 acres of magnificent grounds, we are just 15 miles from Heathrow Airport and 30 minutes from West London. We pride ourselves on our warm community where our pupils are happy and feel valued.

The success of Caldicott in recent years has led some to describe the school as amongst the country’s top prep schools, yet our approach to the education we provide stems from an ethos fostered by our founder, Mr J Heald Jenkins. He believed that decency, tolerance and humanity would enable each boy to ‘shine their light on the world’.

The main point of entry into Caldicott is in Year 3 and Year 4, although some boys join later. All boys board in Year 7 and Year 8 with the option to flexi/occasional board between Year 3 - Year 6.

Most boys leave at 13 to the finest independent senior schools with outstanding grades and routinely succeed in scholarship applications including academic, sport, music, art, drama and ‘all-rounder’ awards. Further details regarding future schools and scholarship success following Caldicott can be found here...

Caldicott is committed to an education that has the wellbeing of each boy at its heart; to develop individuals who thrive and flourish in the fullest sense. We aim to equip our children to be happy and confident, form lasting relationships with others and tackle each challenge with grit and good humour. Our community is not only warm and welcoming from the staff and pupil body, but also our parents form the Friends of Caldicott who bring the whole community together with fantastic events throughout the year.
