Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form is one of the top comprehensives in the country. Our school lies in the heart of our community and is highly regarded locally. We are proud that our maths team won the TES team of the year in June 2015 for innovation in maths teaching.
Students at KNGS enjoy maths and it is a popular subject at A level with almost 70 students studying this subject in the sixth form. The maths faculty combines energy, enthusiasm and creative thinking to produce a very successful learning environment in which our students can thrive. High expectations and positive relationships have led to students achieving in excess of 85% A*-C (grade 4+) at GCSE over the last two years.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to lead and manage a team of 8 teachers and a maths coach. There are significant opportunities for professional growth both within school and our networks. Visits to KNGS are most welcome, please contact Ms Lisa Shakespeare, Assistant Headteacher to arrange a suitable time on 0121 675 1305.
