ISL London is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Middle School to lead and further develop this section of the school from August 2016. This established school has a strong staff and IB Middle Years Programme in place. ISL is looking to build on this by enhancing educational pedagogy, student learning experiences, and effective integration of ICT amongst other initiatives.

The ISL UK Schools
The ISL London is part of the International School of London (ISL) UK Schools that comprises two schools across three campuses in London and Surrey. Both are International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools authorised to offer the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. ISL London is also authorised for the Primary Years Programme whilst ISL Surrey is accredited by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Total enrolment is currently nearing 800 students, expanding across all campuses with extensive construction programmes. The schools are culturally diverse communities which foster a passion and enthusiasm for learning, through outstanding educational practices. Students’ cultural and linguistic identities are valued and nurtured through the international curriculum and mother tongue programmes.
The Primary and Middle School Campus
The International School of London was originally founded in 1972 and was amongst the first schools in the country to offer the International Baccalaureate programme. The school is currently growing and a number of new initiatives, including the recent renovation of the buildings, are underway. The successful candidate would be ideally placed for involvement in these innovations and able to make lasting contributions to the school. There is a strong commitment to the on-going professional training of all staff and for providing leadership development at all levels.
The position of Head of Middle School
The leadership of ISL has recently undergone significant changes and the post-holder would join a revitalised leadership team alongside the Head of Primary and Deputy Principal of the Diploma College.

Curriculum
An International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, they offer the Primary Years (PYP) and Middle Years Programmes (MYP) as well as the IB Diploma. The IB programmes combine intellectual rigour and high academic standards with a strong emphasis on the ideals of international understanding and responsible citizenship.
This was one of the first schools in the UK to offer the IB diploma.
