We seek to appoint for January 2022, a well-qualified Head of Department to lead our Modern Foreign Languages team. The school currently offers French and Spanish to A-level.
Our idea candidate will be:
- A well-qualified linguist with experience of leadership of an area of the curriculum, perhaps as a 2i/c or similar
- An outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of excellent results and a compelling vision for improvement
- A team player, able to lead and inspire colleagues and pupils alike
- Able to teach both French and Spanish, at least one of these languages to A-level

We are at an exciting time in our development - having been established by the Dominican Sisters 80 years ago, St James' has expanded by two forms of entry to become an eight form entry school . Our recent building project has enhanced our Sixth Form provision, as well as improved our current accommodation to include a new Hall, Learning Resource Centre , Masterclass area and 8 new classrooms.
