Preston Manor is an all-through Co-operative School located in the highly diverse and vibrant London borough of Brent. We are part of an established network of schools and work collaboratively with local schools. The school is situated within sight of the iconic Wembley Stadium, and provides access to all that Wembley has to offer. It is a short 10 minute walk from Wembley Park and Preston Road Underground Stations and a 10 minute bus journey from North Wembley Station. The successful candidate will have the vision, creativity and experience to drive the continued development of the Modern Foreign Languages Department as a valued and popular group of subjects and qualifications amongst our school community. They will join an energetic school which strives to ensure that all students enjoy learning and surpass expectations of achievement.
Modern Foreign Languages are popular subjects across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and expectations of student behaviour and learning are high. GCSE and A-level French, German and Spanish are offered and the department is well resourced for the teaching of these courses. Exam results are consistently high in all three languages.
The successful candidate would be expected to be a French specialist and to lead on French and line manage the Heads of German and Spanish. In addition to French, the ability to teach Spanish or German would be very advantageous.
