Head of Modern Foreign Languages Faculty

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and visionary Head of Modern Foreign Languages to spearhead the creation of the Faculty from January 2022 onwards.

This role presents a unique opportunity for a successful and established middle leader to apply their leadership and management skills. Current staffing means that we need to employ a Head of Modern Foreign Languages who teaches Spanish and either French or German.

Comprising French, German and Spanish, the successful candidate will work alongside three established Heads of Department, six teachers and three language assistants to ensure that we provide our pupils with high standards of teaching and learning which inculcates a lifelong love of learning languages, their histories and cultures.

In teaching languages our emphasis is on giving pupils the skills and confidence to communicate in real-life situations as well as providing them with more complex grammar and vocabulary to excel through GCSE and A level examinations.

Applicants are asked to make clear on their application form their competency in the languages they teach alongside the level that they are confident teaching to.
