The Trustees of Maghull High School are seeking to appoint a dynamic, resilient, experienced and excellent teacher as Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), who will make a significant contribution and commitment to lead and develop our growing MFL department. We are seeking an exceptional Head of MFL with the drive and vision to deliver excellence in language lessons across all key stages.
The successful candidate will be:
· Passionate about their subject and aligned to our vision of teaching and learning
· Highly driven and able to inspire both students and staff to achieve excellent outcomes
· Committed to raising take up of MFL at GCSE and Post-16
· Enthusiastic about curriculum development and change
· Creative, believing in the potential of every student to achieve
The school currently offers Spanish as a main language from Key Stage 3 to Advanced Level. Our ambitious Key Stage 4 curriculum expects the vast majority of students to follow the EBacc suite of qualifications. We are keen to develop our curriculum range to include other languages and to widen our extra-curricular offer.
Maghull High School is part of the Southport Learning Trust, which currently includes Greenbank High School, Stanley High School, Birkdale High School and Kew Woods Primary School. Our Trust welcomes teachers who are enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated individuals with a talent for working with young people and a love of education.
