A dynamic and experienced teacher is required to lead the Modern Languages Department from September 2019. The successful candidate will need to continue the work of the retiring Head of Department and to develop and establish the Modern Languages department as a beacon of good practice for teaching and learning, and to lead the department in its restructuring of schemes of work to adapt to the reformation of GCSE and A-level specifications and also the need to motivate students at KS3. 

The new Head of MFL will lead by example by being an outstanding classroom practitioner and have the ability to enthuse both students and colleagues with their passion for language and ensure that languages permeate across both the school and curriculum.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach both Spanish and French (with at least one to A-level) and Latin would be a distinct advantage.
