Head of Music & Assistant Head of Performing Arts (TLR £4396) (Full time / Permanent) 

We seek to appoint a hard-working and inspirational Head of Music who will also act as Assistant Head of Performing Arts.  The focus of the role in the first instance will be on developing the curriculum changes at KS3, KS4 and KS5. We aim to make teaching and learning exciting, relevant and highly effective for our learners in order to raise attainment. 

Our school has a reputation for excellent music and drama productions and we are seeking an individual who will be passionate about ensuring this reputation continues.  The successful candidate will be an outstanding leader who is highly motivated and leads by example.  You will need excellent interpersonal and organisational skills in order to manage change and support the day to day running of a very busy department. If you want to work in a vibrant and progressive environment, we would love to hear from you. 

You will join a committed, successful and supportive team and have the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Our School

The Queen Katherine School is situated on the edge of the stunning Lake District; we are an 11-18 Academy with approximately 1000 students. The school was rated Good by Ofsted in March 2022. Our results reflect the school’s incredible success: top 7% in the country for A level (grades A-B) and top 25% for Progress 8 at GCSE.
