Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd) provides a specialist independent vocational education, and is the country’s leading Performing Arts school. We seek to appoint, from September 2019, a fully qualified Music specialist to lead our highly successful Music Department and our team of outstanding permanent and peripatetic practitioners.
This post is a most important appointment in the Day School and Sixth Form, and the successful candidate must have a balance of professional and academic skills in order to ensure that the work of the school remains amongst the very best in the United Kingdom. Every year we have graduating students joining top HE conservatoires including RADA, LAMDA, Rambert, RCM, and of course ArtsEd’s own HE departments.
You will be a dynamic, visionary and talented musician / practitioner who is confident and experienced in overseeing and delivering all aspects of the Music curriculum across KS3, 4 and 5, and you will be able to use your innovation to further extend our already inspirational co-curricular annual programme of music. Your first-class teaching skills will be essential in continuing to inspire and challenge some of the most talented students in the country, and your leadership skills will provide the confidence to drive the team with flair, energy and compassion.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a specialist who is passionate and ready to enthuse the next generation of exceptional musicians and performers, and to support talent and innovation in the Performing Arts.
Closing Date for applications is 9am on Wednesday 22nd May
ArtsEd is committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all students and pupils and expects all staff to share this commitment.
