Head of Music (full time / part-time)

September 2019 or earlier start

Falkner House is seeking a suitably qualified, skilled, enthusiastic and ambitious Head of Music. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and shape the music provision at a growing school.  Falkner House is a very happy and successful selective school with bright and enthusiastic children.  The pace is fast, learning is enjoyable and the curriculum is broad.  The successful applicant will be motivated and enthusiastic with a strong interest in working with children.  Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are required together with a strong work ethic and initiative.  Common sense, flexibility, practicality and above all a sense of humour are also required.  

The candidate will have

• a dynamic approach to class music teaching with relevant experience

• the desire to organise and motivate a team of peripatetic music teachers 

• the ability to arrange and produce the annual carol concert as well as other regular concerts.
