Job overview

We wish to appoint an optimistic, enthusiastic, resourceful and caring teacher to lead our Music Department from 8th January 2018.  This is an exciting opportunity to further develop and co-ordinate the music provision within the school.  The post holder will teach across the age range including GCSE and have a key role to play in whole school performing arts. Gartree is a highly successful and oversubscribed 11-16 secondary school committed to continuous improvement.  The music room has state of the art facilities, including a suite of Apple Macs, Launchpads and a range of class sets of instruments.  Potential candidates are welcome to visit the school prior to application if they wish. Gartree High School is an Outstanding co-educational, non-denominational 11-16 secondary school in Oadby, Leicestershire.  

Gartree High School converted to academy status in 2012. The town of Oadby has a population of 24,000; it is located five miles to the east of Leicester and is nationally known for its racecourse.
