Job overview

We are looking for a music teacher to teach class music to children aged 3 to 7 years. The ability to play the piano to a good standard will be helpful, but high proficiency in another instrument could be considered, as is the ability to teach singing.

The standard of music at the school is very high, with almost all children learning a musical instrument. The school also employs a large team of peripatetic teachers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with the highest expectations to take the next step in their career. You will have the strong support of colleagues and the benefit of working in a well-resourced school. The job is fun and professionally rewarding.

Prospect House is an independent school in Putney for children aged 3 to 11; it is heavily oversubscribed and enjoys an excellent local reputation.

The post is available from 1 September 2019.

Prospect House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
