The Gregg is a forward-looking, independent school situated to the east of Southampton, with a roll of 360 boys and girls aged 11-16.  Small class sizes provide an excellent learning environment.


We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Head of Music for September 2022 or January 2023 to lead this exciting and important subject. Essential to this role is the ability to effectively direct and conduct The School’s Choir, Orchestra and Wind band and be able to accompany performers from the piano/keyboard.

The Gregg School is a mixed, independent, non-denominational, secondary day school, situated in Southampton, Hampshire. The school, which is set in 23 acres of private landscaped grounds, has approximately 320 pupils aged 11-16 on its roll. 

The Gregg School was founded in 1901 and is a member of both the Independent Schools Association and the Independent Schools Council. The Trust and Board of Governors jointly govern the preparatory St Winifred's School and The Gregg School.
