What are we looking for? 

• We have a Head of MYP and 25% teaching role (Middle-High School) in Vicenza (Northern Italy) for an August 25th, 2022 start date. 
• We are looking for a coordinator (with a teaching role) with a strong inquiry approach and creative use of new technologies to support learning.

Specific Responsibilities (main ones) 

• To play a full part in the school’s arrangements for the pastoral care of all pupils and to promote their wellbeing. 
• To develop and promote the school’s mission and values across the school community. 
• To oversee the welfare and wellbeing of the teaching staff. 
• To help to create and maintain a safe, effective, and stimulating environment for learning. 
• To work in close collaboration with the Head of School on the development of the whole school in order to continue to raise and maintain high standards for all pupils. 
• To establish the annual school calendar in collaboration with the Head of School. 
• To assume delegated responsibility for the leadership of the student’s learning and for particular aspects of the day-to-day organisation, assemblies, timetabling, cover arrangements, etc.. 
• To implement and uphold the school’s policies on behavior, discipline, and bullying. 
• To take an active role in the recruitment and selection of teaching staff according to the H-FARM Education’s HR policies. 
• To take part in activities with the aim of promoting the School or the curriculum (eg. Open Days, meetings with parents, etc...). 
• To oversee and ensure the good development of school trips / educational trips, organised by teachers in collaboration with secretaries and administration. 

Qualifications    

• At least a bachelor’s degree and teacher qualification (from an accredited, state-approved programme).     
• Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).     
• Immaculate police check(s).

Contract Duration    

• 12-month contract.

Experience    

• 3-5 years of recent and relevant leadership experience in a comparable school environment.     
• Relevant teaching experience preferably in an IB school.      
• IB examiners will have priority.     
• Specialist skills & knowledge      
• Proven ability to plan and deliver innovative inquiry-based lessons that engage students and address their diverse learning needs;     
• Demonstrated ability to use digital tools and resources effectively to enhance learning;     
• Planning and organisational skills like Michael Burnham (Start Trek) and leadership skills like Aragon (Lord of the Rings)  
• Fluent C2 level English: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR).
