We are looking to appoint an outstanding and motivated PE teacher with a proven track record of achievement to run our PE department. Applicants need to be flexible and able to develop the sports programme across the school. They should be comfortable with teaching and administrative work.

You would be the sole teacher of PE to students in Reception to Year 9 for the Autumn and Spring Terms as well as one of a team of swimming teachers. You would develop the swimming programme and lead the other teachers. In the Winter term you would be the ski programme assistant, a largely administrative role, though the ability to ski would be an advantage. After school activities would be part of your timetable in all 3 terms, as would occasional weekend events.

The successful applicant will demonstrate their commitment to raising the profile of sports at JFK, as well as standards. They will run after school activities, attend SGIS events across the country and organize internal events such as sports day for the whole school.

John F. Kennedy International School is a small school with a family atmosphere. Student role is approximately 80 in Autumn and Spring and 120 in Winter. Staff at the school take on many roles such as lunchtime supervision, after school activities, accompanying excursions (including overnight), chalet team events and hikes/ cycles. Staff know all of the students across the school and are comfortable teaching across the age range. All staff are expected to exhibit the JFK Core Values of Adaptability, Morality, Resilience, Enquiry, Cooperation, Communication, Thoughtfulness and Respect.

Please note that only EU / Swiss nationals applications will be considered due to strict Swiss working permit regulations. The ability to drive a minibus would be an advantage. John F. Kennedy International School is a co-educational English-language boarding and day school for children ages 2.5 to 14, culminating in the Year 9 (Grade 8). The growing student body is made up of around 100 students from over twenty different countries.
