PE is taught to all years and is a popular GCSE option. There is an extensive extra-curricular programme including the Young Leaders Award and numerous other leadership schemes for students alongside borough, regional and national competitions. 

Langdon Park is an oversubscribed mixed, multicultural and fully comprehensive school.  Our indoor facilities include a sports hall, gymnasium, dance studio and fitness suites.  Outdoor facilities are all floodlit and include 6 tennis courts, a full-size football pitch, a 200m four lane athletics track and a multi-use games area with 6 netball courts. 

We are seeking an outstanding PE teacher with leadership experience who has the skills, drive and ambition to lead the department to even greater success.  The position would be available from September 2019.  You will be passionate about Physical Education and committed to securing excellent outcomes for children of all abilities. As a highly dedicated and innovative professional, you will join a dynamic team of teaching staff.

About the school

Langdon Park School has served the community for well over 100 years. We enjoy a large campus comprised of both original Victorian buildings and state of the art new builds. Spotlight youth service share part of our site and we have access to a range of additional services and provisions as a result of this. The local community is tight knit, hugely supportive of the school and where the vast majority of our students live. Significant plans to redevelop the local area are in place; this is an exciting time to join the LPS community

Langdon Park School is easily accessible from all parts of London and the south east. We have a DLR station outside the main reception: we are 20 mins away from central London. We have staff parking for those that require it.
