We’re looking for an inspiring Head of Performing Arts to drive the development of Music and Drama, making them a thriving and integral part of our school and the wider community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build and grow a department in a school that believes in the transformative power of the arts. You will be responsible for delivering and developing outstanding teaching and learning across all key stages, fostering a love of performance in our students, and creating meaningful links with partner primary schools. You’ll be a role model for staff and students, bringing passion, initiative, and a vision for the future of Performing Arts.

Who are we looking for?

✔️ A passionate leader with a love for Music and Drama

✔️ Someone with drive and initiative to grow the department and make it a key part of school life

✔️ A champion of student development, inspiring confidence and creativity

✔️ An advocate for the benefits of Performing Arts within education and the community

Why work for us?

· A high-performing, inclusive Catholic school – one of the top-performing secondaries in Salford, where students thrive and staff love to work. In our most recent inspection 100% of staff said they were proud to work here and felt valued.

· A strong, supportive team – bespoke in-house CPD opportunities, excellent work-life balance, a visible, proactive SLT and a staff culture that prioritises professional growth

· Wellbeing is a priority – flexi days, staff recognition initiatives, an employee assistance programme for staff and their families, and regular wellbeing events

· Excellent facilities and benefits – free parking, cycle-to-work and tech schemes, and a welcoming, inclusive environment

Rediscover your passion for teaching in a school where you’ll feel valued, supported, and part of something special. If you’d like to know more, contact Ben Davis, Headteacher, for an informal chat or arrange a visit.
