Sutton High School is seeking an inspirational and proactive practitioner to lead and teach Philosophy, Religion and Ethics.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and vibrant senior school, with highly motivated and talented pupils. PRE is a highly successful subject and is taught from Year 7 up to A Level, with Sociology A Level also part of our offer.
You will develop the PRE curriculum and extracurricular activities within the department, with a focus on lessons and activities that are challenging, thought-provoking and have an emphasis on creativity and collaboration. You will be a passionate teacher with excellent curriculum and subject knowledge and exciting ideas about how PRE can be further developed and encouraged across the school.
This role would suit an experienced practitioner or an aspirational ECT, with the confidence to teach our ambitious girls to A Level and to lead an important department within our school. Line management will be part of the role and the successful candidate will drive the development of PRE across the school.
The ability to teach another subject, particularly History, Geography at KS3 or Sociology at A Level, would be an advantage.
