Job overview

We are inviting applications from experienced and qualified candidates commencing in January 2021.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher to lead the EIS Primary Physical Education Department as Head of PE and Sports ECAs. The successful candidate will be required to teach across Years 1 to 6, coordinate and develop the PE curriculum, work with class teachers in integrating PE & Health topics, manage the PE and ECA Sports budget and work collaboratively with the ECA & Afternoon Activities Coordinators to ensure an inclusive extra-curricular sports programme; this will include coaching 2 or 3 sports, hiring outside coaches to lead or supplement programmes, arranging matches including booking venues & transportation, and managing colleagues who coach ECAs.

What is required and what we’re looking for :

• Relevant teaching qualification(s)

• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience preferred

• Excellent English speaker with sound written and oral communication skills 

• Culturally sensitive, tolerant and patient

• Positive, proactive and independent work ethic

• Ability to work positively with a range of stakeholders including faculty, parents, outside coaches and sports facility venues
