    St Andrew’s is a prestigious, independent, co-educational day and boarding school offering a quality education, based on the English National Curriculum, to IGCSE, GCSE, AS and A2 level. We are a multi-ethnic school with over 30 different nationalities in the 11-18 age range.

    As Head of PE, you will be responsible for teaching students aged 11-18, co-ordinating external fixtures, managing a team of ground staff and appraising and supporting colleagues. Applicants for this post must be suitably qualified, experienced and able to teach to A2.

    The two year contract offered includes a very competitive salary, gratuity payments, 50% Medical Aid, flights at start and end of contract, free housing, and a 13th cheque at the end of each year.

    About St Andrews International High School

    St Andrew’s International High School is a mixed, non-selective, independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding in Malawi, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Blantyre has over 500 students on record, from over 30 different nationalities. 

    St Andrew’s International High School welcomed its first pupils in 1938. The secondary school follows the British curriculum, adapted to a Malawian context. In Year 9, students work towards their IGCSE exams or BTEC level 2 qualifications, followed by A levels or BTEC level 3. The school holds title as the first BTEC School in Africa. Facilities include a recording studio, radio station, library, swimming pool, sports courts and dedicated teaching blocks.
