Wollaston School is a large, rural community school located in a village setting about 15 minutes drive from Northampton. The student intake draws on nearby villages and the towns of Earls Barton, Wellingborough, and Irchester. We have over 1400 students on roll with approximately 240 students in the Sixth Form. The school is over-subscribed. Wollaston School was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in April 2017. We are a founding school of the Nene Valley Partnership—a Multi-Academy Trust committed to Excellence in Education, which opened in April 2019.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational leader to head up a team of highly committed staff. Applications are welcomed from candidates with any subject specialism.

PE is taught to all students throughout Key Stage 3; students have a 1 hour 40 minute lesson and a 50 minute lesson each week. At Key Stage 4, as well as Core PE which is taught to all students, GCSE and Vocational PE courses are offered. The subject is also popular in the Sixth Form and several students go on to study PE or health-related courses at higher education each year. Examination outcomes at both GCSE and A-level are strong and the faculty offers a busy and extra-curricular timetable of fixtures and clubs.
