Haberdashers’ Aske’s Crayford Academy is 30 minutes from London Bridge by train and the school’s proximity to the capital is a strong factor in enabling teachers to enhance the cultural experience for our pupils through enrichment activities.
The Role
We wish to appoint an exceptional Physical Education practitioner who will use their experience, extensive subject knowledge and vision to lead a dynamic and forward thinking P.E. department. This is a truly exciting opportunity for an existing or aspiring Head of PE to further develop this already high functioning department and to work as part of the Physical Education team, across the Federation.
The Head of P.E. will contribute to the overall leadership and management of the Academy and be active in promoting its aims, and supporting an ethos that promotes achievement and outstanding teaching and learning. In addition, the Head of P.E. will contribute to sports activities already scheduled within the wider Haberdashers’ group of schools and other local and national competitions.
We are looking for a candidate who can start at Easter, or earlier where possible.
The Candidate
We are seeking a driven individual who will be relentless in ensuring that students are provided with top class teaching which leads to excellent progress in Physical Education.
The candidate must be a compelling communicator with an ability to champion the subject to pupils with a fully comprehensive range of abilities. You will also bring real energy and dynamism to the role, alongside genuine enthusiasm and passion for your P.E. and sport.
