About the role

This is an exciting role for an experienced primary PE specialist. For a suitable candidate, there is the opportunity to develop physical wellbeing and education beyond the taught PE curriculum and across the primary school as Head of Physical Wellbeing and Education. You will lead, co-ordinate and develop all aspects of the Primary School’s curriculum relating to student health, wellbeing and development in the areas of PHSE, PE, sport and co-curricular activities.  An excellent classroom practitioner, you will take the lead in developing the classroom practice of teachers and learning assistants in matters relating to student wellbeing.  

We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s Primary and Early Years curriculum, which is based on the National Curriculum for England, the EYFS Curriculum, and enriched with approaches from Reggio Emilia and AnjiPlay, and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved.

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative practice to raise achievement.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Hungary, which typically involves holding a European passport.

Selection Process

The closing date for application is 2nd January 2019 and we encourage early applications and may appoint before the closing date. First stage interviews will be conducted by Skype or telephone and final interviews will take place at the Nord Anglia Education Recruitment Event in central London in the week commencing 21st January 2019 (alternative arrangements will be made for candidates who cannot attend in person).
