Job overview

We are looking for a well-qualified and organised teacher to lead the Physics Department in this popular and rapidly expanding independent senior school for boys.

The position is full-time and would involve teaching physics up to A Level.

We are situated in an attractive parkland setting yet not far from the centre of Croydon. Lloyd Park tram stop is close by and there is a frequent tram service from there to East Croydon Station. Travel time to Clapham Junction is around 25 minutes and London Bridge and Victoria are both less than half an hour away

The Cedars is a rapidly growing independent senior school for boys. Founded in 2013, there are currently 266 boys on roll from Years 7 to 13. The school attracts boys from a large geographical area, extending from parts of north London to Surrey.

The Cedars has a Catholic ethos and places strong emphasis on helping its students to acquire virtues such as self-discipline, a sense of responsibility and a spirit of generous service.  There is a lively extra-curricular life with a range of clubs and societies; sport and music are especially popular.
