West Derby School is an 11-18, all boys’ school in Liverpool. The school is oversubscribed with appeals for places, and has 1000 on roll including 130 in the Sixth Form.  We have a state of the art building providing a bright and inspirational learning environment with excellent facilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Head of Physics. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver all three Sciences up to KS4 and  A Level Physics and Applied Science L3 BTEC at KS5.

Founded in 1957, West Derby School is a non-denominational boys secondary with co-educational sixth form in Liverpool. As of the most recent inspection there were 1031 students on the school roll, of which 113 were in the sixth form. The school has held academy status since 2012. Extra-curricular activities include Football, Table Tennis, Duke of Edinburgh (Kinball), Code Academy, STEM Club, French Club, Debate Mate, Music Club, Vocal Group, and Film Club. The school is located on Bankfield Road.
