We have an opportunity for an outstanding Physics Teacher to join the Science department at Mount St Mary’s College, one of North Derbyshire’s most successful Catholic Schools. Mount St Mary’s College is an 11-18 Independent Jesuit School of over 300 pupils. 

The successful candidate will be an excellent and innovative classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate students and teachers alike, and will adopt inventive and dynamic approaches to further the success of the department. We are looking for someone able to teach Physics from Key Stages 3 through to A Level. There is also the opportunity for the right candidate to take on the responsibility of being the Head of Department for Science, in addition to being the subject specialist. 

As the Head of Physics or leader of the Science department, you will be an outstanding teacher, delivering consistently good and outstanding lessons, and an excellent team player with the highest standards of professionalism and expectations of students. You will have a track record of success in maximising student progress across all key stages.

Mount St Mary’s College is an HMC independent day and boarding school for boys and girls, including A-Level studies. Our Preparatory School, Barlborough Hall is a day school and includes a Nursery provision. Following our most recent ISI inspection in October 2023, it was noted 'EYFS is effectively managed and the individual needs and abilities of the children are met in all areas of development.'
