Urmston Grammar is a high-performing co-educational 11 - 18 selective school, judged OUTSTANDING in our last OFSTED inspection. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated professional to the role of Head of Physics for September 2020. Candidates must have a passion for Physics and a proven track record of student success.

This post provides an exciting opportunity to work with highly motivated students and lead a successful department. The Physics department delivers high-quality teaching and learning in well-resourced laboratories and through a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Urmston Grammar School is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational secondary school for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Urmston, Manchester, and there are currently 970 pupils on its roll.

Urmston Grammar School is a selective school and it operates as an academy. It has an excellent local and national reputation. The governors and the leadership team pride themselves on running a highly successful grammar school. It was rated as "outstanding" in its most recent inspection.
