Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an outstanding teacher and graduate to lead our newly established Politics department.

Politics will be taught from year 12 in September 2017 and it is expected to be very popular with our students. This position would suit a colleague with a strong and proven track record of teaching this subject successfully to A level and can teach another subject up to KS4.   As a middle leader, you will be a key member of our Teaching and Learning Group and work alongside our talented team of Lead Teachers to drive up standards across the school.

Brampton Manor is a high achieving 11-18 school with over 2000 pupils on roll. We are massively over-subscribed in the pre and post 16 age groups. In 2012, we were graded outstanding in all categories by Ofsted. GCSE and A level results in 2016 are the best in Newham and the region.

There is a distinctive ethos within our school, which combines a relatively informal supportive approach with a sharp focus on learning and achievement.    So whether you’re a current Head/Deputy Head of Politics (or a related subject) or an ambitious teacher looking for the next step up, it’s time we talked.     s
