Harrow Shanghai is looking to appoint a dynamic, highly-skilled and inspiring new Head of Pre-Prep from August 2021. He/She will have wide-ranging strategic input into, and leadership of, the continued delivery of excellence within the Pre-Prep School. The post-holder will also enjoy a wider strategic influence across all facets of the Harrow educational experience as a standing member of the Senior Leadership Team, in addition to the whole-school Academic and Pastoral Leadership Groups.
This exciting opportunity within one of the world's most energetic, cosmopolitan and diverse 21st century cities, is very well suited to present middle and senior leaders both in the UK and overseas who have the necessary experience, skills, values and ambition to not only reinforce the Pre-Prep School's very high standards and reputation, but to build upon them further.
Candidates who have proven leadership capabilities as a high-performing Key Stage Coordinator/Assistant Head/Deputy Head or Head within a UK or overseas primary or prep setting are strongly encouraged to apply.
Working at Harrow is a delight. The pupils are engaged, aspirational and hard working, their parents are highly supportive and the staff are committed and close-knit. The community is strong. Pupils achieve highly both within and outside of the classroom and go on to enter many of the world's most competitive universities, including Oxbridge.
The successful candidate can expect a generous salary, a performance-related bonus, accommodation, medical and flight benefits and an unusual 100% tuition fees remission for up to two dependents (50% for any further children thereafter).
Moreover, working within the highly prestigious Harrow Group of schools, which works very closely with Harrow London and is expanding rapidly, provides an ideal opportunity for career development and further promotion for ambitious appointees.
Candidates should note that in terms of the ongoing global pandemic, Shanghai is presently one of the safest cities on the planet with no locally transmitted cases evident. Thankfully, Shanghai daily life, in the very widest sense, is very normal with no social restrictions in place and the Harrow Shanghai staff are enjoying the many freedoms this affords.
