We are seeking an inspirational and energetic Head to lead and manage our vibrant Prep School and to articulate in conjunction with the Principal a clear vision for the future of the school that conforms to its aims, values, traditions and ethos.

Applicants should have strong academic qualifications, proven experience of successful leadership and management and must be at least a Deputy Head. Applicants should also be able to illustrate experience and contemporary understanding of successful EYFS provision. The successful candidate will have the personal qualities to lead, motivate and inspire the Prep School and will be able to demonstrate natural authority, leading by example and commanding the respect of pupils, staff and parents.

The Prep School is a member of IAPS and as part of Hampshire Collegiate School offers progression and continuity of learning. HCS is a co-educational, 2-18, independent day and boarding school, set in a beautiful rural location and offering an excellent environment in which to live and work. As a member of the United Church Schools Trust we have a wealth of expertise and dedicated professionals so that we can focus on the individual to nurture each child and bring out their best.

About Hampshire Collegiate School

Hampshire Collegiate is a mixed, non-selective, Christian all-through school with nursery and sixth form situated in the Hunt End district of Redditch in Worcestershire. It is an independent school. A smaller than average-sized school for a school of its type, it will provide 813 places for nursery, primary, secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 2-19, with boarding provision for students over the age of 11 when fully subscribed.

Hampshire Collegiate was formed in 2005 as an amalgamation of Embley Park School and The Atherley School.

The school motto is "vita studia una", translating as ‘life and learning are one’. It has a strong and inclusive Christian ethos that sets a strong academic foundation for students of all faiths and none. It always aims to bring out the best in all its students and shares the group’s core values of creativity and enthusiasm for work. The school is an area of collaboration and students value its community ethos.

Their results at age 11 have been well above the national average, and at GCSE they have been above the national average for maintained schools.
