The Loughborough Endowed Schools is a charitable foundation of four independent schools in the heart of Loughborough, educating children from 3 to 18 years. The schools enjoy a very high reputation for their academic, cultural and sporting achievements and for the quality of their pastoral care. The schools are situated on the south side of Loughborough on a very pleasant 39-acre campus, together with a further 40 acres nearby which provide additional excellent sporting facilities.   

We are recruiting a Head of Preparatory Music, who must be an inspirational and ambitious classroom music specialist, to lead the provision of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 music across the Foundation. Given the success that we have enjoyed with Colourstrings, a Kodaly-based curriculum, an understanding of and sympathy for this approach will be an advantage. The successful applicant will be able to inspire pupils to participate in a range of musical activities and be the best they can be. Strong keyboard skills may be beneficial, though they are not essential.
