An outstanding leader is required with the vision and energy to create a world-class learning environment at Wellington Primary Academy in Tidworth, Wiltshire. The academy opened on a brand new purpose-built site in September 2014 and has grown rapidly with additional classes in each year group each academic year, with the final number of pupils being 420 (when fully open). We expect Wellington Primary Academy to become a beacon of excellence and optimism for the Tidworth community and significant progress has been made to this end already. Wellington Primary Academy is part of Wellington College Academy Trust and more than half of the current pupils are from military families.
At Wellington primary academy, we aim to raise aspiration by giving our pupils, in collaboration with The Wellington Academy, a true all through 4 – 19 educational experience. We want our young people to be ready for the next stage in their educational journey and our strong pedagogical and pastoral links with the Wellington Academy make this mission very attainable.
Our curriculum promotes a love for learning which has its foundation in literacy and cross curricula links. Our golden eagle programme and broad and balanced curriculum also ensure that our young people are well rounded.

Wellington Lions, part of the Ascend Learning Trust, is a purpose-built school based within the new housing development in NEQ (North East Quadrant) of Tidworth and caters for pupils from Reception through to Year 6.
