HEAD OF PRIMARY, NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL DUBLIN

About the school:

Nord Anglia Education is the world’s leading premium schools organisation. We are a fast-paced and growing family of 47 international schools in China, Europe and Middle East, South East Asia and The Americas, providing outstanding education to over 45,000 students from preschool through to the end of secondary education. Our schools are united by one philosophy — we are ambitious for our students, our people and family of schools. This means that we want every student to achieve more than may have ever thought possible, which we ensure through personalised learning enhanced with unique global opportunities.

Opening in September 2018, our new international school in Dublin will be the first of its kind in the city and will educate 800 students aged 3 to 18 years old. Located in the highly regarded suburb of Leopardstown, our state of the art campus will feature extensive specialist STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) and performing arts facilities to provide outstanding learning experiences and teaching of 21st Century skills and support the exclusive delivery of Nord Anglia Education’s collaborations with The Juilliard School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Students and staff will also be part of Nord Anglia’s worldwide community, connected through our innovative Global Campus and Nord Anglia University initiatives.

What we are looking for:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join this challenging adventure as one of the first members of the team.

A key member of the School’s Senior Leadership Team, you will provide direction, inspiration and guidance to our primary teaching staff. Focused on developing a high performing team, you will be responsible for the smooth day to day operations of the primary school including staff development, performance management and deployment of resources.

Able to drive excellence by valuing and developing others, you will be a qualified teacher with extensive experience of both hands-on teaching and management in education. This means you will be fully up to date with curriculum developments (IB Primary Years Programme). Strong on leadership and people management, you will have a flair for setting and meeting challenging performance targets.

Able to work with a high degree of cultural sensitivity in our changing and fast-paced international environment, you will have the ability to use a range of communication strategies and channels. Your strong commercial, financial, market and organisational awareness will enable you to devise effective solutions to complex business challenges.

This is a full-time vacancy, starting as soon as possible. Remuneration will be competitive.
