Job overview

Head of Primary

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the pioneer team establishing a new school that will open in Malacca, September 2020.

King Henry VIII College, Malaysia is a fully-fledged sister school to Christ College, Brecon, one the UK’s oldest schools, founded by Henry VIII in 1541.

King Henry VIII College, Malacca will be a co-educational day school, with students from 3 to 11 years of age. We will share the values and ethos of Christ College, and make the most of our links in the UK and across the globe, ensuring we are very much a British international school.

The Malacca campus will be modelled from and share close links with our founding international school in Cyberjaya which opened in September 2018. The campus in Cyberjaya has seen great success since its opening and the school in Malacca will follow on from this success.

The curriculum will be a recognisable British one, modelled on that at KH8 Primary, Cyberjaya. In the Early Years section, we will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, with seven specified areas of learning. In KS1 and KS2, we use a cross-curricular approach linking different curriculum subjects and providing greater opportunities to broaden students’ understanding.

How to apply

Applicants should complete and submit the Application Form, with a covering letter by clicking on the 'Apply' button below.
