This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional and pioneering individual to join Sri KDU Schools and become the founding Head of Section - Primary in newly opening International school in Klang. The school will be an all through school, the secondary section will be opening from Y7 to Y9 whilst the primary section will open from Y1 to Y6. The school is set to open in November 2020, the appointment would begin in September 2020. Initially the primary section would follow the Cambridge International Primary Programme, adapted to meet the local Malaysian requirements, however part of role would be training the local teachers to deliver a British style pedagogy and support them to deliver the National Curriculum of England. The school is the first Microsoft Flagship School in South East Asia and as such the learning and ethos of the school is to nurture and motivate students to achieve academic success by engaging with each other, with technology and information in new ways in order to develop and acquire digital leadership skills and mind-sets to be confident as they enter the ever changing landscape of living in an increasingly digitally reliant 21st Century.
Therefore experience and understanding of how technology can enhance and encourage personalised learning would be an advantage. The school is looking to go beyond a BYOD learning experience to become pioneers in using the digital world to support and initiate learning, enhance skillful communication, offer flexible methods for giving feedback and thus promote progress on an individual basis.
