HEAD OF PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
- Work with School Principal to plan effective strategies and programs which align with the School’s vision and mission.
- Promoting and participating in teacher learning and development.
- Leadership of the curriculum, teaching and learning.
- Have significant middle-management experience in either a curriculum or a pastoral role.
- Ensure the standard of teaching is monitored and evaluated regularly to ensure School’s teaching standard is achieved.
- Ensuring an orderly and supportive environment.
- Have the desire to work in a forward thinking international school.
- Possess the ambition and enthusiasm to want to play a key role in shaping and developing an outstanding school.
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a Degree in Education, Teacher’s qualification, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years experience in Primary leadership.
- Candidates must have an excellent command of both spoken and written English.
- Educational expertise and a proven track record of developing and sustaining the highest academic standards.
- Knowledge of IPC curriculum will be added advantage.

The Rafflesia International Schools have two campuses which are located respectively in Puchong and Kajang in the state of Selangor, Malaysia.
We aim to educate children from both international and local communities using the British National Curriculum (BNC), a curriculum that is renowned for its excellent quality. Our schools also aim to provide a caring and nurturing environment where students will understand the importance of lifelong learning and achieve success along the way.
We offer a holistic approach towards education using internationally recognised curriculum, starting from nursery and preschool, and finally leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations. The Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) issued by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) will be complemented by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
Our unique approach towards education ensures that our students are well-prepared to meet the demands of higher education after the IGCSE, such as the A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate programme. These internationally recognised curriculum are taught by highly qualified and experienced teachers originating from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, who utilisestate-of-the-art Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to facilitate their teaching.
