Founded in 1972 in the United Kingdom, the name Nord Anglia reflects the company’s beginnings in the north of England. NAE initially offered learning services such as English-as-a-foreign-language classes and grew during the 1980s by opening full-scale nurseries and kindergartens. In 1992, NAE opened its first international school, the British School of Warsaw. In the 2000s, the company began a strategic focus on premium international schools, with rapid growth in Asia, the Americas, China and across Europe and the Middle East. A truly international organisation, NAE now operates premium international schools worldwide. In July 2019, the company relocated its headquarters from Hong Kong to London, enabling even stronger growth in the future.

About the role

A key member of the School Leadership Team, you will provide direction, inspiration and guidance to our primary teaching staff. Focused on developing a high performing team, you along with the support of the Primary Leadership team, will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school including staff development, performance management and deployment. You will also be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.

About you

Able to drive excellence by valuing and developing others, you will be a qualified teacher with extensive experience of both hands-on teaching and management in education. This means you will be fully up to date with curriculum developments. Strong on leadership and people management, you will have a flair for setting and meeting challenging performance targets. 

Able to work with a high degree of cultural sensitivity in our changing and fast-paced international environment, you will have the ability to use a range of communication strategies and channels. Your strong commercial, financial, market and organisational awareness will enable you to devise effective solutions to complex business challenges.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for China .

Selection Process

The closing date for application is 30th April 2021. Due to global travel restrictions, all interviews will be conducted via MS Teams/Video Call.  There will be three stages of interview, including a panel interview.   

Start Date: August 2021 , for the right candidate a January 2022 start may be considered
