St Mary’s and St John’s CE School is seeking to appoint a highly talented and successful Primary School leader. This role represents a unique opportunity to lead our successful 3 form entry Primary School within an all through setting
at a critical time of its journey as we continue to grow SMSJ into a beacon for mainstream education.

The Role

We are seeking an inspirational leader who will continue to ensure that student welfare and creative pedagogy are woven into the school’s curriculum and assessment. Our new Head of Primary School will be responsible for refining
systems and processes which reinforce our values; therefore, taking the lead role in developing our all through vision and ethos.

We know that the quality of a school cannot outstrip the quality of its staff and so we place a primacy on staff growth and development. This post provides the opportunity for an ambitious leader to receive the very best coaching,
training and experience. As a Church of England school supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools, we are uniquely placed to develop and guide the new Head of Primary School in this next critical step of their career.

The Person

Personal ambition and a desire for furthering the life chances of young people are key attributes required within our new Head of Primary. Previous leadership experience, whilst expected, is not as important as talent and application.
Our children, staff and parents, are looking for a leader who is a gifted teacher, with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity for, pastoral and whole-school strategic and operational leadership.
