About your school

The British College of Brazil (BCB) is one of the leading international schools in Sao Paulo offering contemporary British international education to students from Pre-Nursery through to Secondary. Founded in 2011 BCB has established itself as the school of choice for international families and internationally minded Brazilian families within Sao Paolo. Entering its next stage of development BCB is an IB candidate school seeking to deliver the IB Diploma programme from August 2019.

About the role

A key member of the School Leadership Team, you will provide direction, inspiration and guidance to our primary teaching staff. Focused on developing a high performing team, you along with the support of the Deputy Heads and phase leaders, will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school including staff development, performance management and deployment. You will also be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team giving you a strategic function in the future development of the school.

About you

Able to drive excellence by valuing and developing others, you will be a qualified teacher with extensive experience of both hands-on teaching and management in education. This means you will be fully up to date with curriculum developments. Strong on leadership and people management, you will have a flair for setting and meeting challenging performance targets.

Able to work with a high degree of cultural sensitivity in our changing and fast-paced international environment, you will have the ability to use a range of communication strategies and channels. Your strong commercial, financial, market and organisational awareness will enable you to devise effective solutions to complex business challenges.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Brazil, including notarised copies of your degree and teaching qualifications.

History and Ethos

The British College of Brazil (BCB) is one of the leading international schools in Sao Paulo offering contemporary British international education to students from Early Years through to Secondary up to Year 10, with provisions to expand through to Sixth Form in 2019/20. Since opening in 2011, BCB has become the school of choice for expatriate and Brazilian parents looking to provide their children with highest levels of education.

Location and Facilities

BCB is located in two separate exclusive areas of Sao Paulo: Cidade Jardim and Chácara Flora.

The Cidade Jardim Campus (Pre-Nursery to Year 4) has a small, close-knit community that is helpful for new and younger families to settle in quickly, whilst the larger site, the Chácara Flora Campus, (Pre-Nursery to Year 13) accommodates more students. Both campuses have a range of rich academic resources and the latest technologies integrated into the curriculum and classrooms.
