Dulwich College Seoul is a flourishing, high-performing school offering a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to lead its Primary School from August 2018. After five years of successful development and growth under the skilful leadership of Mr Marcus Sherwood, we are seeking to appoint an experienced educator with a passion for learning and excellent interpersonal skills, confident and capable of taking us forward towards even greater success.
In partnership with Dulwich College in London and its sister schools in Asia, Dulwich College Seoul upholds the traditions and outstanding educational standards which have become the hallmark of the Dulwich name around the world.
The Primary School currently has a roll of just under 400 students ranging in age from 3 to 11 years old (Nursery to Year 6). This ‘three-form entry’ model takes us to capacity for the current license on our premises just south of the Han River in south-central Seoul. A Senior School at the campus caters for students graduating in Year 13.
Students and staff enjoy wonderfully considered and recently enhanced learning environments, featuring classroom and outdoor learning, as well as specialist spaces for music, art, performance and sport. The city location of the school provides challenges and benefits – while space is at a premium, our campus is well designed, lovingly cared-for and located ideally to take advantage of all that Seoul as a first-world city can offer. This includes many specialist facilities nearby to complement our own excellent provision including a badminton centre, climbing club, screen golf, tennis courts, canoe club, hundreds of kms of cycle paths, cafes, restaurants and arts centres.
The successful candidate will have the ability to be an inspirational and innovative leader who can secure the full engagement of staff and all other stakeholders in the delivery of the school’s objectives. She/he will show leadership and moral values through action and example in her/his daily conduct. She/he will engage superbly with the community, be a respected ambassador for the College, motivate others, and achieve excellent academic results within a truly holistic environment. She/he will also contribute broadly towards the strategic and operational planning of the whole College through membership of the College Leadership Team. For an informal conversation about the role, please contact current Head of Primary School, email@example.com or Head of College, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our recruitment campaign is being supported by RSAcademics (http://www.rsacademics.co.uk/).
In return, the position attracts an excellent salary at comparatively low tax rates and a fully competitive overseas benefits package, including flight allowance, accommodation, living allowance, freight allowance, comprehensive health coverage, end of employment severance payment and free tuition for children at the school.
