An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified candidate to join the team at St. Dominic’s as Teacher of Psychology. Psychology is a very successful and popular subject at St. Dominic’s with over 400 students studying the Edexcel A Level programme. 

Success rates and outcomes are well above national benchmark and many students go on to study a ‘psychology related’ course at university. 

We are now seeking an innovative and enthusiastic teacher to join this important subject in the College. We have excellent connections with London universities and students have many opportunities to attend talks and events organised by them either in person or online.

St. Dominic’s is an inspirational place to work and was judged to be ‘outstanding’ in our recent Ofsted Inspection of January 2025. The staff team are dedicated and gifted practitioners and the students are hard-working, committed and highly motivated individuals. We promote excellence in all that we do, have a strong staff wellbeing programme and our culture and ethos permeates all aspects of College life.

Deadline for completed applications – Friday March 28th at 12 noon and interviews the week commencing March 31st.  Candidates will be required to teach a lesson.

St. Dominic's is the longest established centre for Catholic post-16 education in the Diocese of Westminster. The College provides a wide choice of GCE A, Applied A and AS courses. In addition, BTEC Level 3/ Extended Diploma (Edexcel)

All students are fully supported by Personal Tutors in preparation for employment or higher education. The College provides a Religious Education programme for all students. The Course is accredited by the National Open College Network and students are awarded a Level 1 in Year 12 and a Level 2 Year 13. The examination success rate is outstanding and the vast majority of students progress to higher education.  A wide range of extra-curricular activities is available. 

There is easy access by Metropolitan/Piccadilly lines, British Rail and local bus services.
